Chris Boortz

Chris Boortz has extensive experience in education and animal care, currently serving as a Training Specialist for the National Outreach Volunteer Program and as a Tour Guide at Best Friends Animal Society since July 2010. Prior to this role, Chris spent 14 years in the La Mesa/Spring Valley School District as an elementary and middle school teacher, and four years teaching elementary school in the Dehesa Union School District. Chris holds a degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University, a California State Teaching Credential from U.C. Berkeley, and a Master's in Educational Technology from National University.
