Melissa Lee

Melissa Lee is an experienced professional in prospect development and advancement services, currently serving as a Prospect Analyst at Best Friends Animal Society since July 2022. With a strong background in fundraising and research, Melissa has held various leadership roles, including Senior Director of Advancement Services at the Illinois Institute of Technology and Director of Prospect Research & Prospect Management at the same institute. Previous positions include Manager of Prospect Research at The Field Museum and Director of Annual Fund at Saint Xavier University. Melissa is also a former Member and Past President of APRA-Illinois, and began a career in development as a Development Associate at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and Rockefeller University. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Barnard College, completed in 1991.
