Charles also has experience in business development and marketing in the healthcare industry, having worked at AMGH- Med-Trans Corporation and AMGH- EagleMed in roles such as Division Director of Business Development and National Director of Business Development/Flight Marketing. Additionally, they have worked in sales roles at Bristol Myer Squibb, St. Jude Medical, and Boston Scientific, where they were responsible for promoting and training on medical devices. Charles started their career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Flight Medic at Deaconess Billings Clinic. Charles holds an MBA degree and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Charles Welch obtained their Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Science from the University of Mary from 1989 to 1993. Charles pursued further education and completed an Executive MBA in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship from Wichita State University from 2015 to 2017.
