Yomi Desalu

Vice President - Music Programming & Strategy at BET

Yomi Desalu has had an extensive career in the music industry, starting in 2009 with a role as Director of Music & Talent at MTV Networks. From there, they progressed to become a Senior Director and then Vice President of Music Programming & Strategy at MTV Networks and later at BET Networks. In 2012, they took on the role of Vice President of Music & Talent Programming Strategy at MTV Networks / Logo, before joining Apple in 2019 as part of the editorial staff for Hip Hop Programming/Caribbean on Apple Music.

Yomi Desalu has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology from Temple University College of Engineering, earned between 1995 and 1999. In 2009 to 2011, Yomi pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Management & Leadership from CUNY School of Professional Studies. Yomi also holds multiple certifications, including one in Finance and Accounting for Non-Finance Executives from New York University in 2019, a certification in Executive Education from Harvard Business School in 2017, certifications in Executive Education from The Wharton School and Columbia University in 2015 and 2014 respectively, and various other certificates in leadership training and fostering game-changing innovation from New York University in 2013 and 2012.
