Walter Cunningham

Walter Cunningham has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Walter began their career at First Security Bank in 1994, where they worked as an Accounting Analyst III / Technology Operations. From 1996 to 1998, they served as the Data Processing Operations Manager at The Bank of New Mexico. Walter then joined Mt. Rainier National Bank as a Systems Administrator / Project Manager from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they worked at Pacific Northwest Bank as the AVP, Technical Services & Application Development Manager. In 2004, they joined WSECU and held various positions, including VP Technology & Innovation, VP Service Delivery (Branch, Contact Center, E-Services), and Senior Vice President | Digital Services. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Senior Vice President | Chief Retail Officer at Golden 1 Credit Union. In 2015, they joined Betenbough Homes as the IT Operations Supervisor. Walter then worked at Cornerstone (Lubbock, TX) from 2016 to 2018, where they held the positions of IT Manager and Vice President | Business Development. Since 2018, they have been a part of Betenbough Companies, initially serving as President and currently as the Executive Director and Board Member.

Walter Cunningham's education history includes several educational experiences, beginning with their bachelor's degree. From 2000 to 2003, they attended the University of Phoenix, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration. Following this, from 2010 to 2011, they enrolled in the Missional Leadership Program at the Resurgence Training Center, where they received a graduate degree in Missional Leadership. In 2012, they attended the Cardwell 306 Leadership Institute, where they obtained a graduate degree in Governance, Strategy Execution, Leading Transitions, and CEO Leadership in 2013. Throughout their educational journey, Walter Cunningham also earned additional certifications. In 2009, they became a certified Six Sigma Green Belt & Lean/DFSS through Aveta Business Solutions. Walter later obtained the Unstoppable Cultures Certified Fellow certification from Unstoppable Cultures in November 2019.
