James Makey

James Makey has extensive experience in the sports trading and risk management sectors, currently working at Betfred since October 2018, where responsibilities include managing Foreign Horse Racing and engaging in product development. Prior to this role, James contributed to the Government of Gibraltar's Ministry of Economic Development as an Administrative Assistant at the Gibraltar National Mint, managing daily operations and liaising with international partners. Earlier experiences also include a summer position at the Consumer Affairs Agency and a junior role at Betfred. James holds a Master's degree in International Development and a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from Northumbria University, alongside a comprehensive educational background at Bayside School Gibraltar.
