Alejandro Dan Mendoza M.D.

Alejandro Dan Mendoza MD is a highly experienced psychiatric professional with extensive leadership roles across multiple institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Heart Transplant Psychiatry, Clinical Director of NeuroPsychiatry, and Director of Network Integration at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since February 2018, Mendoza also holds the position of Chief of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and Medical Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton. Additionally, Mendoza is a part-time Lecturer on Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and has contributed significantly to various psychiatric initiatives, including founding the Department of Psychiatry at South Shore Health System and establishing the Psycho-Oncology Consultation Service at Dana Farber/Brigham & Women's Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital. Educationally, Mendoza completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at De La Salle University and further specialized in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
