Joanna Buscema, MA, CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Philanthropy at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since May 2020, focusing on fundraising for Neurology, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, and Psychiatry. Joanna also chairs the BILH DEI Philanthropy Community Engagement Task Force and is a member of the BILH Philanthropy DEI Advisory Council since 2022. Previously, Joanna held the position of Senior Associate Director of Development at the American Technion Society from 2017 to 2020, Director of Development at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company from 2015 to 2017, and Director of Development at Gateways: Access to Jewish Education from 2013 to 2015. Joanna's educational background includes a Master's degree in art history from The George Washington University, a BA in psychology and art history from Brandeis University, and various nonprofit practice certifications from Boston University's Questrom School of Business and Christie's Education.
