Sharon Wright serves as the Chief Infection Prevention Officer at Beth Israel Lahey Health since February 2021, while concurrently holding various roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since July 1995, including Physician in Infectious Diseases and Senior Medical Director of Infection Control/Hospital Epidemiology. Sharon is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and has held multiple academic appointments since 1998. Previously, Sharon was a Research Fellow in Pediatric Health Services Research at Boston Children's Hospital and completed an Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the Harvard Combined Program in Infectious Diseases. Training included a residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and advanced degrees from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (MD) and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (MPH). Undergraduate education was completed at Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
