Joanne Pokaski is an accomplished professional in workforce development with significant leadership experience across various organizations, currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Workforce Planning and Development at Beth Israel Lahey Health since October 2021. Prior roles include Senior Director of Workforce Development and Community Relations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where responsibilities expanded to include community relations. With a strong background in developing and implementing training programs, Joanne successfully launched numerous initiatives that have facilitated the advancement of employees into high-demand roles. Previous roles include Director of Boston Career Link at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, Senior Research Associate at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, and various positions in the public sector, including at The White House. Joanne holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University.
