Annie Osburn

VP, Executive Communication at Bethany Christian Services

Annie Osburn is the Vice President of Executive Communication at Bethany Christian Services. Annie has been with Bethany Christian Services since September of 2017, and in their current position since February of 2019.

Prior to their current role, Annie served as the Senior Director of Growth & Innovation at Bethany Christian Services from September 2017 to February 2019. In this role, Annie was responsible for providing technical assistance to nonprofit clients, holding assessment meetings with nonprofit organizations seeking assistance, managing relationships with the department’s portfolio of nonprofit clients, and working to identify and develop new and appropriate clients. Annie also responded to inquiries from nonprofit organizations and individuals interested in nonprofits, developed and delivered content and tools for nonprofit trainings and workshops, developed, facilitated and evaluated training opportunities and special events, and conducted professional presentations to regional and national constituent audiences. Additionally, Annie created, sent, and compiled survey and evaluation data when appropriate.

Before their time as Senior Director of Growth & Innovation, Annie served as the Director of Campaigns and Special Projects at Bethany Christian Services from October 2015 to February 2017. In this role, Annie was responsible for leading campaigns that raised awareness and funds for Bethany Christian Services. Annie also managed special projects as needed, such as developing new marketing materials or organizing special events.

Annie’s career in the nonprofit sector began as the Nonprofit Services Program Manager at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy from February 2013 to October 2015. In this role, Annie oversaw the daily operations of the Nonprofit Services Program, which provided technical assistance and capacity building services to nonprofits in Michigan. Annie also managed a team of staff members who worked with nonprofits in the program, and they developed new initiatives and programs to support nonprofits in Michigan.

Annie Osburn has a Master's Degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership from Grand Valley State University, a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Grand Valley State University, and a Master of Education in Social Studies and Urban/At-Risk Programs from the University of Pittsburgh. Annie also has a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory from the University of Pittsburgh. Annie is certified by the Dare to Lead program, the Grand Valley State University Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership program, the Johnson Center for Philanthropy Nonprofit Board Certification program, and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) program.

Annie Osburn reports to Chris Palusky, President & CEO. They work with Luke Delavergne - VP, Regional Operations, Emma Schab - Vice President of Regional Operations, and Nathan Bult - SVP, Public and Government Affairs.
