Marben Bland has had a long and successful career in human resources and talent development. Marben has worked for some of the biggest names in the business, including AMD and PPG Industries. For the past two years, they have been a board member at Bethany Christian Services, a non-profit organization that provides adoption and foster care services.
Pastor Marben Bland was born on October 1, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from college, they began their career as a human resources director at Fiskars Brands. Marben then went on to work for AMD as their director of millennial talent development and recruitment. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting and post-hire development of over 500 computer and electrical engineers from leading universities around the world.
In 2008, Marben Bland became the director of human resources for PPG Industries' 1.2 billion dollar architectural coatings business unit. In this role, they provided human capital management and business support for all segments of the business, including manufacturing, retail stores, marketing, outside sales force, and national accounts with Lowe's and Home Depot. Marben also directed a team of 25 human resources professionals deployed nationwide.
In 2010, Marben Bland left PPG Industries to start their own company, The Marben Bland Group. The company provided human resources consulting services to small businesses. After two years of running their own company, Marben Bland decided to return to the corporate world and joined Bethany Christian Services as
Marben Bland has a Masters of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary, an MPA in Public Administration from Georgia College & State University, and a BA in Political Science & English from Mercer University.
