James Johnson is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Currently serving as a Program Coordinator at Bethesda Project since August 2023, James has previously held positions including Case Manager at Resources for Human Development and the Philadelphia Anti-Drug Anti-Violence Network. Earlier experience includes roles as Team Supervisor and Package Handler at UPS, and Public Safety Officer at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. James also has experience in retail security and food service, with a strong background in collaborating with law enforcement and conducting criminal investigations.

Since 1979, Bethesda Project has been providing emergency shelter, housing and supportive services to homeless and formerly homeless individuals in Philadelphia. At its 15 sites throughout the city, Bethesda Project offers case management and a caring community to almost 1,000 men and women each year.
