Christiaan van Arum

Christiaan van Arum is an experienced embedded software engineer currently working at Betronic B.V. since October 2022, focusing on various E-bike projects that involve integrated audio modules, light modules, displays, and FOC-based motor control. Prior experience includes a role as an R&D Embedded Engineer at Expice - PCB Assemblage, where Christiaan established a complete GitLab environment and improved a communication interface for a home energy storage system. In a previous internship at Expice, a thesis project received a grade of 8 out of 10, involving the development of a PCBA and firmware for a battery-powered hectare counter based on the ESP32. Earlier experience includes an internship at Mirabeau - a Cognizant Digital Business, where Christiaan developed a system to measure the walking direction of individuals using Raspberry Pi 3 and C++ with OpenCV. Christiaan holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Computing from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and completed a minor in Electronics at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
