Analytics Team Lead at Better Dairy

Agata Giardina's work experience begins with their current role as an Analytics Senior Scientist at Better Dairy, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Dr. Schär as an R&D Food Chemist from February 2018 to March 2022. Before that, they were a PHD student at the University of Padova from November 2014 to October 2017. Additionally, they held the position of Doctoral Researcher at Ruhr-Universität Bochum from January 2017 to April 2017, where they conducted a project on the sterilization properties of cold plasma. Agata also worked as a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) from July 2014 to October 2014, focusing on the application of chromatographic techniques in the study of mitochondria carcinogenesis and the application of non-thermal plasma for water purification. In April 2014 to June 2014, Agata worked as a Graduate Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Padova, studying the application of non-thermal plasma in the study of VOCs degradation mechanisms and co-supervising Master students. Lastly, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at the Centre for Innovation Competence (ZIK) plasmatis from May 2014 to May 2014, investigating the interaction of plasmas with biologically relevant systems.

Agata Giardina has an extensive education history in the field of chemical sciences. Agata received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2018. Prior to their PhD, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry from the same institution, graduating in 2013. Their academic journey started with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Università di Catania, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Giardina's educational background also includes a High School Diploma in Modern Languages (English, German, French) from the Liceo G.S. "G. Verga," which they earned from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Giardina holds a certification in German language proficiency, specifically the "Fit in Deutsch 2, Zeugnis A2," obtained from the Goethe-Institut Italien in May 2006.
