Rebecca Macdonald

Rebecca MacDonald is a highly experienced professional in social impact investing and responsible finance. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of Investment Management at Better Society Capital since September 2015, Rebecca has previously held multiple investment roles at Charity Bank and acted as a Non-Executive Director. Concurrently, Rebecca is Co-Chair of the Certificate in Impact Investing Panel at CFA UK and has authored key training materials for the Certificate in Impact Investing. Academic contributions include a position as Industrial Professor at UCL leading the Impact Finance and Social Entrepreneurship module. Prior experiences include strategic and policy roles within various government departments and organizations focused on social regeneration and community enhancement. Educational qualifications include an MSc in International Development from SOAS University of London and a Certified Expert in Microfinance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, complementing a robust background in management and international security.
