Better Tomorrows provides case management and facilitates impactful social services and community programs for more than 40,000 children, youth, families, and seniors in over 125 affordable housing communities across the country. The organization focuses on five core outcome areas: 1) Academic Support 2) Financial Literacy 3) Health, Wellness, and Nutrition 4) Job Readiness, Occupational Wellness & Stability, and 5) Social & Community Engagement. In 1989, Better Tomorrows' foundation began when an affordable housing owner and developer Mike Levitt, founder of the Michaels Organization, invested in a new approach to property management for low-income communities under the leadership of Jacqueline "Jackie" Jones. In 2013, Better Tomorrows was incorporated as an independent non-profit organization with a mission to provide opportunities for residents to thrive, leading to healthy, sustainable communities.
