Jesse Proudman

Jesse Proudman's work experience includes several notable roles at various companies. Jesse began their career as the Founder and CEO of Blue Box Group, a cloud technology company that was later acquired by IBM. Jesse then served as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Distinguished Engineer at IBM, where they also held the position of Distinguished Engineer and CTO of IBM Bluemix Private Cloud. After leaving IBM, they became a Co-Founder and CEO of Strix Leviathan, a Seattle-based asset management firm specializing in cryptocurrency. Additionally, they co-founded and served as CEO of Makara, a company focused on investing in digital assets. Currently, as of 2022, they hold the position of Vice President of Crypto Investing at Betterment. Jesse has also been involved in the entrepreneurial community as a Board Member at the University of Washington's Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship and as a Mentor at Techstars' Alexa Accelerator.

Jesse Proudman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Business Leadership Program from the University of Puget Sound, which they attended from 2003 to 2007. In 2012, they pursued further education by enrolling in the Entrepreneurs Organization, where they obtained a certificate in the Entrepreneurial Masters Program in 2014. Jesse Proudman also holds a Master Inland/Mate Near Coastal certification from the U.S. Coast Guard, which they obtained in February 2021.
