Kumud Sharma

Kumud Sharma is the Chief People Officer at Betterment. Kumud has over two decades of experience in human resources, and has held senior positions at several companies.

Sharma started their career at Steria in 1998, where they were the HR Director for North America. In 2004, they moved to Amplify, where they served as the Director of Human Resources. Kumud held this position until 2007, when they joined Revitas as the Director of Human Resources.

In 2010, Sharma joined Navitas Inc. as the Vice President of HR. Kumud remained with the company for five years, before moving to Diligent in 2015, where they served as the Vice President of Human Resources for seven years. Sharma joined Betterment in 2022 as the Chief People Officer.

Kumud Sharma's educational career includes a degree in MHRM from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick, and certification from SHRM in SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Kumud Sharma reports to Sarah Kirshbaum Levy, CEO. Jessica Jaser - Senior Director of Recruiting, Caroline Godsell - Director of HR report to Kumud Sharma. Kumud Sharma works with Peter Lorimer - CFO, Kim Rosenblum - Chief Marketing Officer, and Seth Rosenbloom - General Counsel.
