Benjamin S.

Benjamin S. has a diverse work experience, starting as a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University in 2003. Benjamin taught courses such as Nanobiotechnology, Heat and Electromagnetism, and Introductory Physics, while also providing individual tutoring. Benjamin then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at Cornell University, where they designed and built optical tweezer hardware, developed optics simulation software, and wrote analysis software for data extraction.

Benjamin later joined the Howard Hughes Medical Institute as a Research Associate before transitioning to Google in 2011. At Google, Benjamin held the role of Senior Software Engineer + Tech Lead/Manager, where they implemented various back and front-end projects on Maps and Payments. Benjamin also gained experience leading teams of 10 engineers and working as an individual contributor. Currently, Benjamin is working as a Software Engineer at Betteromics starting in 2022.

Benjamin S. pursued their education in the field of Physics. Benjamin completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Bristol, where they attained a MSci degree from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they enrolled at Cornell University, where they obtained an MS degree in Physics from 2003 to 2009. Benjamin continued their education at Cornell and successfully completed a Ph.D. in Physics from 2003 to 2010.
