Mohammad Akhtar

Mohammad Akhtar has a diverse work experience with a focus on data science and risk management. Mohammad is currently working as the Head of Credit Risk, Data Science & Ops at BetterPlace since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of VP of Data Science at BUENO FINANCE INC. from April 2022 to March 2023 and AVP of Data Science from April 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they worked at Ola (ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd) as a Senior Data Scientist from July 2020 to January 2021 and as a Senior Risk Analyst from March 2019 to June 2020. Mohammad also has experience as a Credit Analyst at PayU from April 2018 to March 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Decision Analyst at Kabbage, Inc from June 2016 to March 2018, where they focused on risk management and marketing analytics. Mohammad started their career as a Summer Intern at Lafarge India Pvt. Ltd in May 2015.

Mohammad Akhtar earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their 10+2 education in Mathematics and Computer Science at Jamia Senior Secondary School, Jamia Millia Islamia from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in subjects such as Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Spark and Python for Big Data using PySpark, Understanding Data Science, Deep Learning in Python Part -1, Intermediate Python for Data Science, and Statistical Thinking in Python (Part-1).
