Over the past 10 years BetterUp has built transformative experiences for employees. As our Partner Platform Director you will be a key executive responsible for building the foundational platform which enables our buyers (enterprise partners) to scale this transformation across their entire organization. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Deep Customer Empathy. As we develop this platform, we will be expanding our buyers capabilities beyond what they even imagine today.
  • You will closely partner with our buyers and internal practitioners to understand customer challenges and develop the systems, integrations, workflows, analytics and reporting that our customers need. You will be an advocate for our customer inside of BetterUp and a core driver of this transformation. 
  • Systems Thinking. This is a highly complex technical, operational and product ecosystem. (multi-sided marketplace, buyer is not user, data complexity, etc) You excel at digesting this broad set of inputs into consumable stories and perspectives to guide the org. Data Driven. Our partner platform is powered by data - data to help partners target opportunity, to optimize transformation and to measure growth. Data is how you approach problems and you excel at helping others leverage data. Technical Expertise. The problems to be solved can be highly technical - in terms of data, process and product. You love digging in with engineers to understand the details and leverage this to drive strategy and alignment. . Horizontal Leadership. As our partner platform evolves, so too must our organization. You are someone who excels at guiding and influencing a broad set of leaders to help align our efforts on new paradigms.
  • We expect our leaders to be experts in their domains, not just general managers. You will be able to zoom in to guide your teams through the most critical problems and zoom out to guide the organization towards our long term vision.
  • You will deliver all of this through Platform teams based in both the US and Europe. 

As an organization we have the building blocks in place but are still early in our Platform journey - this is your opportunity to shape and accelerate that journey. 

What you’ll do:

  • Own development of our Partner Platform consisting of the user experience, integrations, automation, recommendations/AI, analytics, and infrastructure. Your teams will solve problems from seamless access management to create systems to measure and optimize an organization's transformation. 
  • You will shape strategy and vision, with a strong contribution on the platform and technical perspectives. 
  • You will manage,  grow and recruit world class talent and set the pace of the organization - both within and beyond your direct team. 
  • You will lean into horizontal leadership to help guide our organization through this transformation. 
  • You will define, monitor, measure, analyze and report on key metrics for your business. 

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management 
  • 5+ years of experience managing group and technical product managers
  • Engineering degree/experience (preference) and practical experience with complex systems and data platforms.
  • Proven track record driving crossfunction results and organizational change via horizontal leadership
  • Experience building delightful systems for enterprise buyers.
  • Systems thinker with an ability to digest highly complex, ambiguous dynamics into simple options and path forward. 
  • Inspiring people leader who can motivate and set a healthy pace for the team and isn't afraid to get into the details when they need to. 
  • Experience operating in a fast pace startup.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $198,950 – $277,150.
