John de Jong

John de Jong is the Co-Founder of BetterVet, a mobile veterinary clinic that makes house calls to pet owners. John has over 25 years of experience as a veterinarian.

John de Jong started their career as a veterinarian at the Boston Animal Hospital in December 2011. John became the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital in December 2012.

In January 2013, de Jong became the owner of the Newton Animal Hospital. John ran the hospital for five and a half years before selling it in November 2018.

After selling the hospital, de Jong co-founded BetterVet, a mobile veterinary clinic that makes house calls to pet owners. The clinic has been in operation for over two years and has helped thousands of pet owners across the state of Massachusetts.
