Jimmy Shen

Jimmy Shen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to present. Jimmy currently works as a Sales Engineer at BettrData.io, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Sysco LABS from August 2022. In September 2020, they ventured into entrepreneurship as the owner of their own company, Southern Py. Before that, they worked as a Data Engineer at DART Innovation from January 2021 to November 2022. Jimmy also has experience as a Research and Development Software Developer at RTI International from November 2020 to July 2021, where they developed innovative solutions for internal and external clients.

In addition, Jimmy has held positions such as a Python Software Developer at Ally from April 2020 to September 2020, a Sr. Data Developer at Xenial - Cloud Based Restaurant Management from October 2017 to April 2020, and a Data Analyst at West Creek Financial from December 2016 to August 2017. Jimmy also worked as a Contractor at Gemean from September 2015 to December 2016, and as a Lead Analyst, Data Analytics at WWE from September 2014 to September 2015. Throughout their career, Jimmy has acquired skills in various technologies and tools, including Python, Azure, Redshift, SQL Server, and Excel.

Jimmy Shen attended Marshall University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Communications. In 2013, they attended General Assembly and received a certification in User Experience Design. Additionally, they have obtained several other certifications, including PostGres for Data Engineers from Dataquest.io in December 2018, Python for Everybody Specialization from Coursera in January 2018, and Microsoft Technology Associate - Database from Microsoft in December 2013.
