Yulia Yulina has over 18 years of public health project management experience with the World Health Organization (WHO), CDC, US Peace Corps, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Georgia Department of Public Health, Emory and other organizations.
While at WHO in Russia in the capacity of Medical Officer, she coordinated over 24 trainings in HIV/AIDS in 8 regions of Russia. She also managed several public health projects and research from different donors such as USAID, European Union, Soros Foundation, and others.
Prior to her work at WHO, Yulia worked as a Global Fund project manager for the Open Health Institute (OHI). OHI was a Principal Recipient of a US$ 88 million grant from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GLOBUS project). The project was aimed at stimulating an effective national response to HIV/AIDS in the Russian Federation.
Before her career in public health, Yulia practiced medicine in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, as an infectious disease Medical Doctor.
She holds a Medical Degree from the Moscow Medical Academy, Russia and MPH from Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health.
