Sheila Cardenas

Office Community Lead at BEworks

Sheila Cardenas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sheila started their career as a Client Relations Supervisor at Canadian Wireless - Bell Mobility in 2004 and held this position until 2014. In 2005, they became a Production Coordinator at Fashion Art Toronto, where they played a vital role in coordinating all aspects of the event and maintaining relationships with vendors and sponsors.

In 2012, Sheila took on the role of Event Planner at Alliance Against Modern Slavery and successfully organized the Modern Day Slavery in Ontario and the World Conference. Sheila secured the venue, acquired sponsorships, and managed the conference within the budget.

From 2012 to 2019, Sheila worked as an Event Coordinator at Woofstock, one of the largest street festivals in Toronto. Sheila was responsible for organizing the event from conception to completion, including negotiating venues, coordinating with vendors and exhibitors, and identifying sponsorship opportunities.

Sheila also worked as a Career Services Coordinator at Surcorp Resume Solutions from 2015 to 2016, where they provided support in career services. In 2019, they joined BEworks as an Office Community Lead, responsible for managing the office community.

Most recently, Sheila began working at Klick as a Pitch Manager in 2022. Overall, Sheila has a strong background in event coordination, volunteer management, and client relations.

Sheila Cardenas attended Shulich Business School from 2004 to 2012, where they studied Business Administration, Management and Operations. Prior to that, they attended Franklin Covey in 2003-2004, studying Project Management.
