Anziif – Hm Derek Grant Fiml Cip (Snr Assoc)

Derek Grant has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Derek started their career in 1974 with NZI Insurance and held numerous roles there until 1991. Derek then joined NZI Insurance as a Profit Centre Manager, where they managed a key financial institution partner and a specialist brand. In 1995, they moved to Beyond Bank Australia, where they held the role of Insurance Manager for 20 years, overseeing the service offering to customers and managing the insurance team. In 2015, they became the National Insurance Manager at Beyond Bank Australia, responsible for managing the relationship with insurance providers and the product suite. Most recently, they served as the Senior Manager of Group Compliance, ensuring compliance requirements were met and maintaining a culture of compliance. Throughout their career, they have also been a Fellow at the Australian Institute of Management.

Derek Grant FIML, ANZIIF – HM (Snr Assoc), CIP began their education in 1975 at TAFE SA and Insurance Institute, where they pursued General Business Studies with a specialty in Insurance. Derek completed this program in 1980. In the same year, they obtained a Business Certificate in Insurance from TAFE.

Continuing their education, Derek Grant joined ANZIIF and pursued a Senior Associate certification in General Insurance. Derek became a Senior Associate CIP Member and obtained an Honorary Membership.

It is also worth noting that Derek Grant has additional certifications, including another Senior Associate CIP Member, which they obtained in January 2021 from ANZIIF.
