Ray O'Brien

Ray joined Beyond Bank Australia in 2010 following the merger with Companion Credit Union. He was Companion’s General Manager/Chief Executive from 1996 to 2010 and became part of the Beyond Bank Group Executive Team at the conclusion of the merger.

Ray has more than 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industry and has previously held senior positions in both the mining and the manufacturing industry. Ray is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, and a Fellow of the Australasian Mutuals Institute.

Ray’s responsibilities include leadership of the member credit, lending administration, credit control and governance, risk and compliance teams.
