Vanessa Hering has diverse work experience in various companies. Vanessa started their career at Teachers' Private Capital in 2013 as an Analyst. In 2012, they worked as an Analyst at RMC Risk Management Consulting GmbH. In 2014, they joined Oliver Wyman as an Engagement Manager and held the position until 2021. From 2018 to 2018, Vanessa worked in the Financial Stability Department at the Bank of Canada. Currently, they are working at Beyond Finance, where they have held the positions of Director of Strategy & Operations, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations, and currently holds the role of Head of Strategy & Operations since November 2022.

Vanessa Hering completed their education with a Master of Business Administration in Finance from The Wharton School from 2017 to 2019. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Arts in International/Global Studies with a focus on German Studies from The Lauder Institute - University of Pennsylvania. Prior to this, Vanessa earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Schulich School of Business - York University. Vanessa also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BSc) from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
