Allison Leader

Allison Leader has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Allison'scurrent role is as the Director of External Communications at Bezos Academy, which they started in 2023. Prior to this, they were a Mixing Board Community Member at Mixing Board, starting in 2023.

Previously, Allison worked at Amazon for a significant period of time. Allison'sroles at Amazon included Senior Manager, CEO Communications, where they handled proactive and reactive PR for Amazon's HR efforts. Allison also served as a PR Manager, Workplace + Culture, where they led the launch of Amazon's Upskilling 2025 program and drove storytelling around Amazon's culture and employer brand. Additionally, they worked as a PR Specialist, focusing on Amazon Marketplace and Small Business Empowerment.

Before joining Amazon, Allison worked at APCO Worldwide, where they held multiple roles including Vice President, Associate Director, and Consultant. Allison also gained experience at Burson-Marsteller as a Senior Associate and Associate, as well as at FTI Consulting as an Associate and Junior Associate.

Allison's career began with internships at PoliticsDirect and Harris Research Company.

Allison Leader attended Skidmore College from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Government.
