Jamie Hammell-James has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. Jamie currently serves as the Chief People Officer at Bezos Academies since January 2020. Prior to that, they founded Jamie James LLC in 2019, where they worked as a Sabbatical/HR Consultant and Executive Coach until January 2020.

From 2016 to 2019, Jamie worked at Juno Therapeutics, Inc. in various roles. Jamie transitioned to the position of Sr. Director, People/Human Resources after Celgene's acquisition of Juno in 2018 and later became the Director, People/Human Resources. Jamie's earlier experience includes working at Target from 2003 to 2012. Jamie served as an HR Manager in Target India and later as an HR Manager in Target Canada, leading teams and implementing HR processes and systems to support business growth.

Jamie Hammell-James attended the Wisconsin School of Business from 1998 to 2002. During this time, Jamie earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Psychology. In 2020, Jamie obtained the Hudson Coach Certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching.
