Jennifer Dixon

Jennifer Dixon has a diverse work experience in the education field. Jennifer currently serves as the Head of School at Bezos Academy, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Aldine ISD, first as an ESL Pre-K Teacher from August 2012 to December 2018, and then as an Assistant Principal from December 2018 to July 2022. Jennifer also has experience as a Founding Kindergarten Teacher at KIPP Houston Public Schools from July 2011 to July 2012.

Jennifer Dixon obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. In 2014, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership at The University of St. Thomas, where they completed their studies in 2016. During the same period, from 2015 to 2016, Jennifer also attended the Montessori Teacher Education Institute- Houston to acquire an American Montessori Society (AMS) Credential in Early Childhood.

In terms of certifications, Jennifer obtained the following additional certifications: Montessori Early Childhood Certification (AMS) from the American Montessori Society in May 2016, Texas Principal Certification from the Texas Education Agency in May 2016, English as a Second Language (ESL) certification from the Texas Education Agency in May 2011, and Generalist (EC-6) certification from the Texas Education Agency in May 2011.
