Silvia Chia

Silvia Chia has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Silvia is currently working as the Head Of School at Bezos Academy, starting in February 2022. Before that, they served as the School Director at Spanish World School from August 2015 to November 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Preschool Teacher at Spanish World School from June 2013 to August 2015. Prior to that, Silvia was a Spanish Teacher at Colegio Reina Isabel from August 2011 to July 2012. Silvia also worked as a Journalism Teacher at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California from February 2010 to May 2012. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Television Presenter at Sintesis TV from May 2009 to May 2011 and as a Reporter and Editor at Periódico Frontera from December 2007 to November 2009. Their early career included working as a TV Presenter and News Reporter at TV Azteca Baja California from July 2004 to March 2006.

Silvia Chia earned a Bachelor of Communication degree from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, where they studied Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Silvia has obtained several certifications including a Montessori Primary Guide certification from the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) in May 2023, a QPR Certificate from the QPR Institute in December 2022, a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross Training Services in June 2022, and a Child Care Provider/Director certification from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission in September 2015.
