Melanie E. La Rocca has a diverse and extensive work experience. Melanie E. currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at BFC PARTNERS since June 2023. Before that, they worked as the Chief Efficiency Officer for the City of New York from March 2022 to June 2023. Prior to their role in the city government, they served as Commissioner at the NYC Department of Buildings from June 2019 to March 2022.
During their time at the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) from 2014 to 2019, La Rocca held several positions including Vice President of Development and External Affairs, Vice President of Operations, Executive Director and Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff.
Melanie E. began their career in 2006 at the New York City Council, where they served in various roles including Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Legislative Aide.
