J. Alan Davis

J. Alan Davis has extensive experience in the entertainment and media industry. J. Alan currently serves as the Head of Rights & Contracts at the British Film Institute, where they are responsible for international and domestic acquisitions, distribution, production, sales, and theatrical programming. Prior to this, they worked as the Chairman of St. George Entertainment Ltd., providing business affairs and commercial advice to various media and other businesses. J. Alan also served as a Consultant at Lewis Silkin, specializing in media and entertainment law. Additionally, Davis has held positions such as Non-Executive Director at the Entertainment & Media Group and Councillor at Sandhurst Town Council. Earlier in their career, they were the Managing Director of Act Productions Limited, a leading theatre producer, and served in various roles at International Business & Media Consultancy, Liberation Entertainment, Periscope Ltd., and Warner Bros. International Television Production. Overall, Davis has a strong background in rights and contracts, business affairs, and production management within the entertainment industry.

J. Alan Davis has a BA with Distinction in English Literature and Geology from Southern Methodist University. J. Alan also attended Marlborough College as a SAT National Merit Scholar. Additionally, they obtained a Juris Doctor with Honours in Law from The University of Texas School of Law.
