Joe Catanzariti

Joe Catanzariti is a renowned civil and structural engineer with over 35 years’ experience in leading teams to deliver the innovative design and construction of commercial, residential and mixed-use towers, retail centres, hotels, large-scale housing developments, healthcare and education facilities, and key infrastructure projects. He is motivated by technical excellence and BG&E’s people and culture. In addition to leading our New South Wales business, he continues to have hands-on involvement in overseeing the concept design of large-scale projects, as well as contract negotiations. During his career with BG&E, he has fostered enduring relationships with clients, including with market leading contractors and developers, private sector industry giants, architects, project financiers, and State transport and planning agencies. He chairs BG&E’s Risk Management Group and is a member of the Safety, Quality & Risk Committee. He is also a member of the Institute of Engineers in Australia, the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland and the Registered Building Practitioners Board in Victoria. Joe is a ‘people’ person and a shining example of living BG&E’s values. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of cricket and the South Sydney Rugby League team.
