Phoenix Minfeng Xiao

Phoenix Minfeng Xiao is an accomplished researcher in molecular microbiology with extensive experience in the field of infection omics and metagenomics. Since February 2017, Phoenix has held the position of Associate Director at the Infection Omics Research Center within BGI-Shenzhen, previously serving as a Research Scientist at the Metagenomics Research Center. Prior to this, Phoenix was an Assistant Investigator at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from November 2013 to February 2017. Phoenix earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology from The University of Hong Kong (2009-2013) and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biotechnology from Soochow University (2004-2008), following a science-focused high school education at Changsha Yali Boarding School (2001-2004).
