Ian Leech

In July 2021, Ian was appointed to both the HoldCo and IDO Boards as a Non-Executive Director

representing BHL, the current majority shareholder of the BGL Group.

Ian is the Chief Financial Officer of BHL Holdings. BHL Holdings is the parent company of a number of predominantly insurance related businesses. Through regional subsidiaries and associated ventures, the BHL Group operates three principle regionals – the UK, South Africa and Australia with businesses also in France, Turkey and new ventures in South East Asia. In addition to BGL Group, BHL has a number of insurance related sector investments in the UK. Ian joined the BHL Group in 1997 as a CFO and subsequently Deputy CEO of BGL Group in the UK until 2013 when he assumed his current role.

Ian is an economics graduate and chartered accountant who has over 40 years’ experience in financial services.
