Karan Bhatia

Karan Bhatia has a diverse work experience in the procurement and facilities domain. Karan is currently the Vice President and Head of Procurement & Facilities at Bharti AXA Life Insurance since September 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Procurement and Facilities at Max Bupa from December 2015 to September 2020.

From 2010 to 2015, Karan worked at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, where they held various roles in procurement. Karan was the Chief Manager of Procurement - Group Synergies for Max Group from April 2015 to November 2015, and before that, they served as Sr. Manager of IT Procurement and PMO Procurement CoE for Max Group of Companies from April 2013 to April 2015. Karan also worked as Sr. Manager of IT Procurement and Manager of IT-Procurement during their tenure at Max Life Insurance.

Karan's earlier work experience includes a role as IT-Sourcing Manager at Mjunction Services ltd (SAIL-TATA Steel venture) from October 2008 to April 2010, where they handled end-to-end IT procurement and vendor evaluation.

Before that, they worked at Genpact as a Purchasing Manager from December 2005 to October 2008, where they managed global IT sourcing and contract negotiations. Karan also held the position of Process Leader during their initial months at Genpact.

Karan Bhatia started their career as a Technical Support Associate at Wipro BPO in January 2005, where they provided technical support.

Karan Bhatia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Leadership and Strategy from Liverpool John Moores University (2020-2022). Karan also completed a PG Program in Management from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (2020-2021). In addition, they earned a certification as a Senior Professional in Supply Chain Management (SPSM) from Next Level Purchasing Co. (2008-2009). For their undergraduate studies, Karan obtained a BCA degree in Computers from Bundelkhand University (2001-2004). Prior to that, they attended CL DAV Public School (1997-2000). Karan also holds a certification as a Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) from Next Level Purchasing Association (NLPA), obtained in 2006.
