Immigrant Health Care Coordinator at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program

Manuela Arroyave Monsalve has a diverse and extensive work experience. Manuela recently worked as an Immigrant Health Care Coordinator at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Prior to that, they were a Resident Tutor at Harvard University.

In 2021, Manuela volunteered as a Researcher at the Colombian Foreign Policy Research Program (PIPEC), where they engaged with migration issues in Colombia and co-taught a course on Transnationalism and Migration.

From 2019 to 2022, Manuela held various roles at Harvard University, including Culture and Communication Consultant and Student Liaison and Tour Guide. Manuela welcomed visitors to Harvard, led historical tours of campus, and provided consultation on culture and communication.

Manuela Arroyave Monsalve has a diverse education background. Manuela obtained their Master of Science degree in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford in 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology and Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights at Harvard University from 2018 to 2022.

During their time at Harvard, Manuela also participated in the International Honors Program: Health and Community, which took place in Vietnam, South Africa, and Argentina in 2020. Manuela gained valuable insights and experiences in the field of health and community through this program.

Before attending Harvard, Manuela completed their high school education at Woodrow Wilson High School, where they received the International Baccalaureate Diploma and achieved the position of Valedictorian.

Additionally, Manuela has obtained a certification in Migration and Health: Enhancing Intercultural Competence and Diversity Sensitivity from the World Health Organization in March 2023. These certifications further augment their knowledge and expertise in the field of migration studies and health.
