Hesly Sitorus

Hesly Sitorus is a seasoned metallurgist with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as a Senior Metallurgist at BHP since May 2011. Prior roles include Senior Metallurgist at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) from March 2008 to May 2011, and Senior Plant Metallurgist at Northparkes Mines from November 2005 to March 2008. Previous positions at PT Freeport Indonesia spanned from July 2000 to October 2005, where Hesly held titles including Superintendent Metallurgy R & D, Chief Metallurgist, and Metallurgist. The career started as a Junior Metallurgist at PT Newmont Minahasa Raya for a brief period in early 2000. Hesly earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mineral Processing from Institut Teknologi Bandung, completing the degree between 1994 and 2000.
