Shams Huque

Shams Huque is a highly experienced professional in project management and engineering, currently serving as Lead Principal Project Studies and Lead Principal Project Delivery for BHP on the Jinidi Mine and Jimblebar Beneficiation projects, respectively. Prior to this role, Shams held key positions at Rio Tinto, managing the PPT Reclaimer Replacement Project, and at Fluor Corporation as PCM Area Project Manager for the AUD 4.7 billion South Flank Project. Shams's previous experience includes leadership roles at EnerMech, Sandvik Mining and Construction, FAST JV, KBR, Inc., and The Gulf Group, with extensive involvement in major projects across the mining sector, demonstrating a strong track record in delivering complex initiatives. Shams holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Mining Engineering, an Executive MBA, and a PhD in Discrete Element Modelling, along with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with first-class honors.
