Bhap Sangay has extensive experience in the power sector, currently serving as the Divisional Manager at Bhutan Power Corporation since June 2006, overseeing the running and maintenance of high voltage transmission systems and managing civil construction projects for staff quarters. Previously, Bhap held the position of Field Coordinator, focusing on emergency restoration for 220/66kV transmission lines, and served as the Engineer in charge of the 220/66kV transmission lines in the western region of Chukha. Earlier in the career, Bhap was a Section Officer at the Department of Power, responsible for operations and maintenance of substations and transmission lines. Bhap holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technologies and Power Systems from Royal Bhutan Polytechnic.
