Jordan Rowe

Jordan Rowe has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. They started their career as a Kitchen Assistant at Makeney Hall Hotel, where they were responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, assisting with food preparation and serving, and supporting the chefs and staff.

After that, Jordan worked at the University of Derby as a Spelunky Assistant, helping with the coordination of a programming competition and managing the associated code-base and public website.

Following their time at the University of Derby, Jordan joined Fuzzy Frog Ltd as a Junior Programmer, where they gained experience in smartphone application development. They worked on two released products using Unity and C#, and learned about agile development through scrum methodology.

Later, Jordan joined the University of Derby again, but this time as a Lab Assistant and Mentor. In these roles, they supported first-year students in the Computer Games Programming course by discussing course-related topics and industry challenges, which improved their social confidence and ability to handle different situations.

After their time at the University of Derby, Jordan joined Thrive: Mental Wellbeing as a Full Stack Developer. They later became a Programmer, focusing on developing mental health applications.

Currently, Jordan works at BibliU as a Senior Full Stack Engineer before transitioning to a Senior Software Engineer role in 2023.

Jordan Rowe attended Belper School and Sixth Form Centre from 2006 to 2013, where they obtained their GCSEs and A Levels. Following this, from 2013 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Games Programming at the University of Derby.
