Senior Product Manager at BICS

Kristel Vanden Dries has over two decades of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Kristel started their career at Belgacom in 1998, where they worked as an Account/Sales Manager for three years.

In 2002, Kristel joined BICS, where they held various roles over the years. Kristel started as an International Network - Strategy Manager, responsible for the strategy and budget of the international network. In this role, they tracked and prepared business cases for CAPEX and OPEX budgets.

In 2004, Kristel transitioned to the role of Senior Product Manager at BICS, a position they held for two years. After that, they became the BCP Coordinator & Service Manager, responsible for business continuity coordination and service management for Belgacom ICS. Kristel focused on network-level BCP aspects and was the service manager for some Belgacom ICS customers.

From 2009 to 2022, Kristel served as the Business Continuity and Operations Assurance Manager at BICS. In this role, they defined the BICS BCP and DRP strategy, ensured proper documentation and necessary plans were in place, and coordinated and followed up on peak events on the network.

Kristel'sextensive experience in product management, business continuity, and operations makes their a valuable asset to any organization in the telecommunications industry.

Kristel Vanden Dries completed their high school education at Koninklijk Atheneum Koekelberg from 1980 to 1986. Kristel then pursued engineering studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in engineering (ir) from 1986 to 1991. Subsequently, Kristel continued their education at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and completed a degree in Safety Engineering from 1991 to 1993.
