Jenifer Mains has extensive experience in the field of formulation science. Jenifer is currently working as the Director of Formulation Science at Bicycle Therapeutics since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Formulation at NextPharma from April 2021 to October 2022. From November 2020 to April 2021, they worked at Lonza as the Head of Formulation. At Lonza, they also held the positions of Senior Manager Formulation from June 2019 to November 2020 and Formulation R&D Manager from November 2014 to November 2020. Before joining Lonza, they worked at Encap Drug Delivery as a Senior Development Scientist from October 2013 to November 2014 and as a Formulation and Process Development Scientist from October 2012 to October 2013. Jennifer's work experience started at AstraZeneca, where they served as a Scientist Internship in 2006 and later as a Scientist from January 2008 to August 2008. Jenifer also worked as a Scientist Internship at GlaxoSmithKline from July 2010 to September 2010. Jennifer's research interests at the University of Strathclyde as a Research Fellow from October 2011 to October 2012 focused on various aspects of formulation science, such as protein formulation using nanotechnology for ophthalmic drug delivery, intranasal drug delivery, and oral formulation characterization. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their ability to work independently and collaborate with others, conduct experiments, and produce technical reports. Jenifer has also developed strong research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Jenifer Mains obtained their first degree, a Bachelor of Pharmacy (MPharm), from the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued further education in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed their PhD from the University of Strathclyde, attending from 2008 to 2011.
