Lisa Minnie began their work experience in 1999 as a Staff Accountant at Canfor. Over the years, they held various roles including General Accountant, Business Analyst, Divisional Accountant, Regional Controller, and Accounting Manager. In 2008, they became the Operations Controller until 2013 when they were promoted to Senior Director of Business Intelligence. Lisa then joined BID Group of Companies in 2014 as the Vice President of Finance.
Lisa Minnie attended the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) from 1997 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting. In 2001, they pursued further education and studied at the Certified General Accountant program, completing it in 2005 and obtaining the CGA designation. In 2013, Lisa enrolled in the British Columbia Institute of Technology and completed their Advanced Specialty Certificate in Forensic Science Technology with a focus on Financial Forensics and Fraud Investigation. Lisa then went on to pursue a PMP certification in Project Management from the University of Northern British Columbia, which they completed in 2015.
