Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a significant background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technologies. Currently at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is involved in hardware development for Digital Vision Touch interactive whiteboards and related devices, after previously working as a firmware engineer in the same company. Prior experience includes electronics contracting at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and roles at the University of Calgary as a teaching assistant. Earlier in the career, Chris worked as an electronics engineer with Grindcom, focusing on control systems for forestry equipment. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
