Gemma Baker

Gemma Baker has extensive work experience in learning and talent development, sales training, and team management. Gemma is currently the Head of Learning & Talent Development at Bidfood UK, where they have been since 2017. Prior to that, they worked as the Sales Learning & Development Manager at Bidfood UK, where they led a successful project to create and deliver a new sales program for new and existing employees. Gemma also implemented a team of field sales coaches and achieved significant ROI through sales training programs. Before joining Bidfood UK, Gemma worked at The Co-op as the Learning Delivery Manager, where they managed a team of operations trainers and worked collaboratively with HR and business stakeholders to deliver various learning solutions. Gemma also worked at Virgin Media as the Regional Sales Manager, Direct Sales Manager, and Learning & Development Business Partner, where they managed and coached sales teams, developed and delivered training sessions, and conducted training needs analysis. Gemma also has experience at British Gas as a Training Manager, where they coordinated training content and procedures across call centers and planned and organized training for a SAP implementation project.

Gemma Baker holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Leeds Beckett University, obtained between 2001 and 2005. In 2007 and 2009, they pursued a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education, also known as ProfGCE, at Northumbria University. In 2015 to 2018, Gemma furthered their education in Human Resources Development by completing a CIPD Level 7 Diploma at Ahead HR. Additionally, Gemma has obtained certifications in Coaching Professional Level 5 from IfATE (scheduled for 2023), becoming an Insights Discovery Practitioner in 2019, and receiving Hogan HPI & HDS Assessment Feedback.
