Tenny Thomas M.D. Facep Mhl

Tenny Thomas MD FACEP MHL has extensive work experience in the field of medicine. Tenny served as the Chief Medical Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth from May 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Professor at Brown University from July 2011 to July 2020. Tenny also held the positions of Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Good Samaritan Medical Center from January 2017 to May 2018. Tenny has been associated with Steward Health Care since July 2003, where they served as the Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Morton Hospital from January 2014 to December 2016, and as the Associate Chief of the Emergency Department at Morton Hospital from January 2013 to January 2014. During their early years at Steward Health Care, Tenny worked as a physician from July 2003 to December 2012.

Tenny Thomas MD FACEP MHL has an impressive and extensive education history. Beginning in 1991 and ending in 1994, Dr. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Medicine from Sultan Qaboos University. Following that, from 1994 to 1999, they completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, also at Sultan Qaboos University.

To further enhance their medical expertise, Dr. Thomas pursued an Emergency Medicine Residency Program at The George Washington University from 1999 to 2003. During their residency, they obtained certifications such as the Emergency Medicine Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in December 2014, and the American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate certification in July 2004.

Recognizing the importance of healthcare management, Dr. Thomas decided to acquire additional knowledge in this field. From 2013 to 2015, they enrolled in the EMHL program at Brown University School of Professional Studies, where they focused on health and healthcare administration/management.

Never one to stop learning, Dr. Thomas pursued an advanced degree from 2019 to 2020. Tenny attended Harvard Business School and obtained a degree in Managing Health Care Delivery, showcasing their commitment to enhancing the delivery of healthcare services.

Through their extensive education, Dr. Tenny Thomas has developed a strong foundation in emergency medicine, healthcare management, and delivery, which undoubtedly contributes to their exceptional expertise in the medical field.
